Seller Shipping Options
Once you’ve created your Seller Profile and Store Front, you can set up your shipping options as a Seller on the Buy Kiwi Marketplace. We recommend Easyship for those who do not have shipping options already in place for their eCommerce business.
Creating a New Shipping Option – Delivery
Shipping options can be set up in Sales > Vendor Shipping > Vendor Shipping Options. Sellers will only have access to their own shipping options. Consequently, to add a new shipping option, click the Add New Vendor Shipping button on the right of your page.
When creating a new shipping option, you will see different configurations that can be finely tailored for different parameters.
Delivery Option Price
Delivery price is determined by either Source Price Type, Delivery Option Price, or Free Shipping Threshold.
Source Price Type: By Weight
This option allows shipping to be calculated based on product weight. When selecting the option Source Total Weight, the minimum and maximum amounts on the tier rows will follow the marketplace configuration for weight unit.
Source Price Type: By Price
This option allows shipping to be calculated based on product price. When selecting Source Total Price, the minimum and maximum amounts on the tier rows will follow the marketplace configuration for currency unit.
Free Shipping Threshold
This allows sellers to set a specific amount that a customer must spend before they’re eligible for free shipping. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
We encourage all sellers to consider offering free shipping as it is proven to increase sales and average basket size.
Delivery Shipping Areas
Fill out the following fields with the relevant information:
Country
Please select all countries this delivery option applies to. If there are no limitations, please select all countries. After selected, please click outside the form so the Region can be updated based on the country selected.
Region
Please select all regions this delivery option applies to. If there are no limitations, please select all regions.
City
If you are shipping to all cities, please leave this blank. If you are shipping only to specific cities, please enter a comma separated list.
Post Code
If you are shipping to all post codes, please leave this blank. If you are shipping only to specific post codes, please enter a comma separated list.
Lastly, after inputting all options, select Save at the top right of the page.
FAQ’s
Can I set up different shipping options such as "Rural" & "Metro"?
Yes – this can be done by creating separate shipping options on your seller profile. Simply follow the guide above and be sure to explicitly name your options with either “Rural” or “Metro” to avoid confusion.
Customers will then access your different shipping options when they proceed at checkout.
How many shipping options can I set up?
You can create as many shipping options as necessary for your business.
